I’m taking my first solo trip of 2024 next week and I need your help 😅

I’ll be visiting @discoverhalifax next week and am staying in an accommodation with private room but shared bathroom and I am blanking on how to live in that situation 😂

I’m actually really looking forward to the experience, but I don’t want to forget any essentials (it’s been a minute lol).

So far I’ve packed shower shoes, a towel just in case (they should be provided but you never know lol), and a lock, also just in case.

You might not see it, but I’d be willing to bet that you’re making way more of an impact than you think you are!

Since most of us here are travel creators and aren’t necessarily educators, let’s talk about measuring impact with your content:

📧 Did someone sign up for your newsletter? That means they want to take time out of their day to hear what you have to say. That’s impact.

✈️ Did you inspire someone to finally take that first solo trip? Or did someone tell you that they tried the resto or hotel you recommended? That means they TRUST you and your word enough to put their experience in your hands. That’s impact.

💖 Have you made someone feel seen and less alone by sharing your travel woes, fears, and trip-ups? That’s impact baby!

Impact comes in all shapes and sizes, and though it can sometimes take effort to recognize it, as long as you’re showing up as your authentic self and sharing content with good intent, I promise that impact is there.

If you’ve convinced yourself that you’re not qualified to share what you know with authority (“who would listen to ME?”), I’m hear to tell you that being literally ONE step ahead of someone means that you can help them.

Don’t discredit your experience and qualifications just because you’re not a thousand steps ahead. One step is enough, share the thing 💖🙌🏻

Since Summer is on its way, and Montreal absolutel

Since Summer is on its way, and Montreal absolutely THRIVES in the summer, here are 10 of my favourite photos I’ve taken in Montreal and 10 things you need to add to your bucket list in the city! 💖🫡

1. Afternoon stroll & sunset at Mount Royal Park
2. Ice cream at @cremeriedallarose and @kemcoba
3. Take a river cruise with @bateaumouchemtl and explore the Old Port
4. Outdoor dinner and drinks at @terrasse_stambroise
5. Do some shopping and exploring in the Plateau neighbourhood (go to Saint-Louis Square for pretty Victorian houses!)
6. Hike to the summit of Mount Royal for epic views of the city
7. Spend an evening at @botabotamtl spa (a literally spa on the water, it’s incredible)
8. Grab some $5 gnocchi from the legendary @drogheriafine and sit in Lahaie Park to eat. It’s a vibe, trust me.
9. Grab lunch at @marcheatwater and walk along the Lachine Canal
10. Attend one of Montreal’s dozens of summer festivals. They run from May to September and there’s seriously something for everyone!

When was the last time that you used the same idea across multiple mediums of content? Or the last time you took your blog post, YouTube video, or newsletter and chopped it up into bite size pieces to create reels out of them?

Have you taken those reel ideas that performed well or got a lot of comments and turned them into more content by expanding on or adding to them?

👉🏼 Every piece of content we create as content creators comes from a seedling of an idea. That seedling can be grown in so many different directions and used to create more and more content that you KNOW will resonate with your community, if only you stop telling yourself that this is “lazy” lol 🙄

Work smarter, bbs 💖 Repurposed content is still FRESH content and you are allowed, NAY, encouraged to use those content ideas in every format and on every platform you want.

Creating content doesn’t have to be an energy suck 🪫🫶🏻
